Scenario 9: You must create a portrait of two performing artists. It is for an article about their turbulent rise to fame, and is for a double page title spread - you need to account for the gutter, the title and some text.
For this shot we used horrible yellow background paper, because we wanted to add a bit more fun and interest in the shot, seeming as they are performing artists. We lit the two 'performers' with a softbox, and used a snoot on the backdrop to create a spotlight effect.

Scenario 4: You need to photograph a religious practitioner (eg priest, nun, monk) for an article in a weekend newspaper supplement. The lighting needs to suggest candlelight.
We lit this shot using two desk lamps that we found in the store room, we decided to use them as they emit a yellow glow (reminiscent of candle light), and are also of a low intensity.

Scenario 3: You are photographing a Wall Street CEO whose large investment company has just failed. He still got his $1.5B bonus though. This is for the front cover of Bulletin Magazine. Remember to allow for the title and cover text
For this shot we used a dome for the flash. We had to turn the modelling light off so we could use a long exposure to bring out a glow in the exit sign.
